Why Isn't Every Plumbing Service Offering Trenchless Pipelining?

The benefits of trenchless pipelining for the homeowner with sewer problems are myriad and more homeowners (and plumbers) learning about it every day. It is a lower cost, less invasive option to underground pipe repair that doesn't tear up your yard. However, if it is so great, why isn't everyone using it? There are two very simple answers to this question.

NOT EVERY PIPE ISSUE IS RIGHT FOR TRENCHLESS PIPELINING

Unfortunately, not every pipe is a good candidate for trenchless replacement. If a pipe is too degraded already or is just too small in diameter, it cannot be lined using this method. There would be nothing to properly mold it or the new pipe mold would come out far too small to be effective.

In some cases, it is not that your plumbing service doesn't do trenchless repair, but they have examined your pipe and found that it is a poor candidate for it. This is why traditional means are still used.

NOT EVERY PLUMBER IS TRAINED TO DO TRENCHLESS PLUMBING REPAIR

If you have asked your plumbing service why they aren't considering trenchless pipelining as an option, it is possible that their company just doesn't offer it. It takes special training and equipment in order to complete the process effectively. While it is an investment in order to offer this through their company, not every company has made those strides quite yet. In this case, even if you are stuck with a plumber for a long time, you may wish to look into another plumbing company that does trenchless pipelining if your plumbing problem is a viable candidate for it. Typically if the plumber thinks the pipe is still intact but has become cracked or has other destabilizing damage, it would be worth considering trenchless pipelining.
